Articulate 360 has everything you need to create stunning eLearning courses. With new features in both Rise 360 and Storyline 360 – we’re sure you’ll love these time-saving updates.
Modern player zoom in Storyline 360
The latest update to Storyline 360 shows Articulate’s commitment to providing improved accessibility for learners. All new in Articulate Storyline 360 is the zoom feature that allows learners to take control of how the content scales on their desktop browsers. Here’s how it works: learners can toggle between the default zoom behaviour and modern player zoom simply by pressing ‘z’ on their keyboard. They can then use their browser zoom controls to enlarge the player frame and slide content, so it becomes easier to see.
Preview selected scenes and slides in Articulate Storyline 360
The days of sitting through an entire course just to preview multiple scenes or one slide are now gone. With the addition of this new feature in Storyline 360 you are now able to select multiple scenes or slides for preview – saving you tonnes of time!
- Use Shift+click to select a series of scenes or slides, or use Ctrl+click to select non-consecutive scenes or slides.
- Click the Preview drop-down arrow on the Storyline 360 ribbon and choose Selected Scenes or Selected Slides, depending on your context.
It really is that easy!
Jump-to-time trigger in Articulate Storyline 360
The new jump-to-time trigger for Storyline 360 is something we never knew we needed, but now we have it – we love it! Enhancing the workflow, the jump-to-time trigger opens up a new world for creating interactivity for videos, branched scenarios and software simulations. For example, if you would like your learners to jump to a specific second in a video, you can use this trigger to create a button that allows them to do exactly that! To learn more about the jump-to-time trigger, check out this blog on our eLearning community website.
Publish to cmi5 from Storyline 360
Last but not least, you can now publish your eLearning courses to cmi5 – the latest LMS standard. The good news doesn’t just stop there – this feature will soon be added to Rise 360 too!
Publishing to cmi5 is straightforward and only involves three simple steps:
- Click on the Publish icon in the Storyline 360 ribbon. In the dialog box that appears, select the LMS tab on the left side of the window.
- Choose cmi5 from the LMS drop-down list and, if you’d like, customise your Reporting and Tracking
- Click Publish, and your course will be exported in the cmi5 format, ready to be uploaded to your LMS.
Only need part of an image in your course? The latest update to Rise 360 features a built-in cropping tool that allows you to control exactly how images appear in your course, adding greater flexibility to the development process.
It’s really simple to do, after adding an image to your course, hover over the image block and click the Edit button that appears. Click the Edit link for the image and choose Crop Image from the menu to edit your image.
The best thing about this feature is that if you aren’t totally satisfied with an image you’ve cropped, then don’t worry, your uncropped image is still saved. All you have to do is, go back to the Crop image screen and move the drag handles back to where they were originally. And then, click Save to restore your image.
